Happy Wednesday!!

Be like the bird, who halting in his flight on limb too slight,
feels it give way beneath him, yet sings knowing he
         hath wings.
                                                                                          - Victor Hugo
Wishing all of you another lovely day with lots of beauty and laughter and love!!!

There's nothing like feeding the kids. What a happy little family that is.
Happy Wednesday indeed!

Neat, Sylvia! And so true! We are responsible for our own happiness.

What a lovely photo--helps reassure us that Spring really is on its way! Sorry I have not been by your blog lately-I miss your great pictures, quotes, and jokes, but I have been taking care of my daughter's little girl while she finishes Physical Therapy school. Quite an enjoyable job, but VERY tiring!!!! I don't get much else done, so blogging has been "on hold" for a while. Take care, my friend. Mickie :)

Oh and what if the branch gives way and you don't have wings ... is it your fault for being on the branch in the first place? I think so ... by the time you get to my age it is clear that life is what we make it, for the most part. We don't have control of everything, but out response to everything is our own doing ... Life is good, Sylvia. I love what you bring out in poeple. Have a wonderful day ...

What a sweet quote and great for a birdwatcher like me to keep in mind. Love it. And the picture too.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
