Our World Tuesday!!

Time to share our world and I do hope you don’t get tired of beautiful, colorful flowers because my world is still overflowing with them!!! The ones I’m sharing with you today are all around the apartment complex where I live, so regardless of the season, there is always some colorful beauty to greet me when I awake in the mornings!!  I do hope all of you have a wonderful new week!! Enjoy and take time to look for the beauty that is in all our worlds!!

A flower's appeal is in its contradictions — so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect. ~Terri Guillemets

People from a planet without flowers would think we must be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us. ~Iris Murdoch, A Fairly Honourable Defeat
Flowers don't worry about how they're going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful. ~Jim Carrey

I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck. ~Emma Goldman

Wonderful Oregon summer! I'm so glad to be here too. And it has even cooled down some at least on this end of the Valley! Beautiful landscaping around your complex!

Oh no! Sylvia - I never get tired of colourful flowers - that tall sunflower reaching for the skies and turning it's big beautiful face towards the sun is my favourite.

I also prefer roses on my table, but they don't last for ever like diamonds.
Thanks for your beautiful flowers.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
