A Blue Look at Texas

Although I don't talk about it much, I was born in Texas and grew up there. While it's not one of my favorite places in the world, about this time every year there are sights that will take your breath away and I'm going to share some of those with you now.     Hi Sylvia,

    I too lived (for a time) in Texas and I remember the bluebonnets covering the ground like a blanket.

    I seldom wish for Texas but this time of year I do miss the wildflowers. I'd jump at a chance right now for a drive through the Texas hill country.

    Those are beautiful. I thought blue bonnets were some unusual flower until I visited Texas and found they were lupin but the Texas variety does put on a show I have never seen elsewhere.

    OOOH! The one with the horizon fading to mist was sooooo pretty when all the colours were so striking in the foreground.

    I know lupins from Austria, but I have never seen them before covering the meadows and hills as they to in Texas. Unbelievable and extremely beautiful!
