Evening Words, Wisdom and Beauty

Today, at least for a while, it looked and felt like spring with a blue, blue sky and beautiful blossoms.

The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply.
Kahlil Gibran

We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.
Kahlil Gibran

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
Anais Nin

I will not be just a tourist in the world of images, just watching images passing by which I cannot live in, make love to, possess as permanent sources of joy and ecstasy.

  2. Hi Sylvia,

That sky is so peaceful and beautiful. I wish (for just one moment) I was swallowed up by it.

I can meditate on that thought.

    Thank you Sylvia.

  3. Magnolia, my fave shrub/tree. I am bringing one on in a tub with hoped it will eventually survive here - gorgeous.

  4. The risk of not blossoming was the one that made me think the most. So true.

  7. Now those photos are gorgeous. Wow that sky is blue and fine. I think Spring has really sprung in your part of the world. Thanks for the inspirational thoughts. Need them, I paticulaly am drawn to the one which says, "We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them". I think this is true, however if only we were so self aware to see it before it happened and didn't just understand this with perspective and time. Hope you enjoyed your Easter. I will have to catch up on your posts!

  8. Very beautiful flowers Sylvia, and you got your blue skies as a wonderful backdrop and accent.

Life is basicly simple, the ego just makes it complicated.

We plant the seeds and attract a potential future to us each and every moment.

There certainly comes a point when it hurts more to stay contracted than to worry about the consequences of being one's authentic self.

I shall transcend my fate and begin living my destiny by choosing to engage in each moment by following my heart.

  19. Magnolia's and Kahlil Gibran... two of my absolute favorites. It seems like that would make a perfect combination. Then you added Anais Nin. His thought on the bud and the blossom has always struck me as profound...as has Kahlil on joys and sorrows being chosen.

    Beautiful, beautiful.
