It seemed that vapor trails were playing games again in the skies over Ballard (Seattle) this week. The first one you may have to click to embiggen to see what I'm talking about. It looked like a string of beads. And it disappeared in minutes.
The next two looked as though they were playing loop de loop.
As always, our blue spring skies serve as a lovely backdrop for the beauty here on the ground.
And then the sunset.
You did a fantastic job of capturing that vapor trail that looked like beads. I don't think I have ever seen one that looked like that.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Sylvia.
Those are all wonderful shots but the string of beads was my favorite. So whimsical.
ReplyDeleteThat first trail is really fanatastic: do you think it is polite to assume that the plane had probems with digestion? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe dogwoods are astoundingly tall, I don't remember ever seeing some as tall as yours. Beautiful!
Nice shots love loop de loop XXX Don
ReplyDeleteSo many different and beautiful clouds. Happy SkyWatching!

Picots in lace in the sky. Wonderful capture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose are fascinating - such invisible goings on up there with the lofty winds!
ReplyDeleteThose shots are beautiful - all of them!
ReplyDeleteDo you know I never think to photograph these things. Doh! Doesn't matter how long I've been a photographer you can still be inspired. Does look like wispy pearl necklaces in the sky.
ReplyDeleteWOW, all your pictures are just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteTake care and happy swf!!
Sylvia, where do you live? The skies there are always blue!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting and impressive forms in the sky! Happy SWF! :-)
ReplyDeletelovely skies, fun string of pearls...
ReplyDeleteWow, I've never seen 'beads' on a vapour trail before. I think I like the second one best this week--such rich greens against a pretty blue, and the lovely gauzy flourish in the sky! I hope you have beautiful skies this weekend too Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a string of pearls draped in the sky. They are all great shots.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
All great shots...love those contrails...beautiful sunset...
ReplyDeleteLike Pam said, pearls in the sky ...
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos as always Sylvia, I love the clouds in the 2nd and 3rd pics.

Awesome captures, Sylvia! I really love the "string of pearls!"
ReplyDeleteso beautiful! Is that all dogwood? How wonderful! In NY I had a grafted tree - half white, half pink dogwood.
ReplyDeleteInteresting effects in your sky this week.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
Great skies and trails. The first one makes me think of one side of a zip.
ReplyDeleteVery unusual. I don't think I've ever seen vapor trails do that.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to watch those skyjets leaving their trail in the blue. The blooming tree makes a perfect company for your beautiful sky till sunset.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent sky views (as usual) ... love the beauty on the ground too.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
That sunset is beautiful! I like the vapor trails, too. Have a safe and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteWell, those are amazingly gorgeous and unusual, Sylvia! Wow.
