Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. ~Chili Davis

Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. ~Samuel Ullman

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. ~Kahlil Gibran

  2. If our mind attaches to matter or to anything in the physical, it makes matter all the more denser as well as a heavy feeling in the mind. We indeed make things matter by sitting on the issue.

With age, many look to the past for what they have lost, and in the process, lose sight of what it New. The new has no wrinkles. Life has a flexible face.

  6. I needed that. I looked in the mirror today and was struck by how my face is changing. I should not let that influence me in any way shape or form, (okay, I'll use Oil of Olay), but I won't let the aging thing slow me down, or discourage me from moving forward.

  8. Thanks as usual for the quotes and soothing pictures. Again I am glad you quoted my favorite, Francois de LaRochefoucauld. "a true friend is the greatest of all blessings, and that which we take the least care of all to acquire".
