I have a little of everything today. This first shot is in front of our house -- lovely natural tree shadows and high tech that invades everything these days. No, I'm not complaining -- I would have none of these toys without high tech! Just an observation!
This is a lamp post on the main street of the little town in Texas where my grandparents lived and where I spent my summers as a child. And, no, it didn't look exactly like this then -- it's been dressed up a a bit even though it isn't much larger than it was when I was little. They were having a street fair the day one of my cousins took this shot to send to me.
Last, but not least, my favorite color shadow along with a chair back -- I was rearranging furniture, had to stop and run get the camera.
Have a great day!

Great shadows, love the last one!
ReplyDeleteSunny :)

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how many time I think 'that would make a great shadow shot' now... Have a great weekend Sylvia... Michelle
ReplyDeleteDid you realize that al the shots you posted today were linear?
ReplyDeleteI love the inclusion of the glass in the shadow. Appeals to my muse, indeed!
Happy SSS!
Shadows are appealing; contemporary art. Your choice is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Each picture is great. I say this all the time..isn't it something how pretty shadows can be? I really never took notice before.
ReplyDeleteHappy SSS.
you do the best colored shadows!!
ReplyDeleteand I love the town square
Goodness, what lovely sharp shadows but my favourite - guess? - is that beautiful blue glass - what a perfect eye you have!
ReplyDeleteGreat shadows as usual - love the coloured shadows especially!
ReplyDeleteThe shadow on a shadow is your best yet.
ReplyDeleteHow many times have I stopped and run and gotten my camera! Good job, Sylvia! :)
ReplyDeleteNice selection. I love the combo color glass/chair shadow.
ReplyDeleteI love coloured glass shadows! I think you've captured the vase & chair shadows perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you didn't leave out the colored glass. I look forward to that each week.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I might just have to try this myself.
ReplyDeleteoh that last one really is awesome.. lucky you to have spent some childhood days in that small town!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by to comment on my first shawdow posting! It was my first time and I was not sure if I did it correctly! Since you found me... I assume all is good :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your obsessions. Great pictures. Love love the colored one(blue) at the end!
ReplyDeleteColor shadows! Now there's an inspiration, but I always get inspired by your posts, Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to concentrate for the next little while on the difference in light between your Pacific Northwest and my Southwest. And I'm going to start really, really looking at shadows because of you (just like Skywatch Friday has changed the way I look at the sky).
Thank you!
The utility pole shadow can represent anything. To me, the shape is one of a rocket lifting up into space and the bush shadow the fiery smoke trailing the rocket. The light looks impressive, the angle of the sun making the shadow less so. The third view looks almost like an Impressionists painting. Nice!
ReplyDeletereally loving that final shot...you certainly have a talent for photographing coloured glass!!
ReplyDeletegreat shots...loved them all.
ReplyDeleteThey did a good job of dressing up that little town.
ReplyDeleteFun shadow shots.
I love your shadows. I especially like the one of the town!!
ReplyDeleteHello, love the last shot, great shadows this week, have a fantastic day and week ahead :) I will have to try and get colored glass vase and see what shadows will occur, just love the colored glass shadows, they are just majestic, just because they are colorful :)

ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shots! My favorite is the pop of blue glass on the chair shadow.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your site as usual and actually was most interested in the detail of the Texas town. I could still feel it was from different region. I could almost hear the accent.
ReplyDeleteThis is what amazes me with our chasing of shadows, isn't it? They just come infront us unready. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday.
xoxo
I love the pattern of shadows across the blue glass.
ReplyDeleteFun variety of shadows as always. I love the way you created the last one, but they're all great. I shared Scenic Shadows at Happily Retired Gal but for some reason my WordPress ID doesn't work so I'm using my Blogger ID instead.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Great shadows! Looks like you had lovely sunny weather.
