Shadow Shot Sunday!

Time to show your shadows all you shadow sleuths! Shadow Shot is hosted each week by Tracy at Hey Harriet! Click here to sign up and share your shadow shots!

Summer is over and here in the northwest we're seeing less sunshine so you do have to be ready to shoot when you catch a shadow.

Here is a leafy reminder of summer! Click on any of the shots to embiggen and see them better.

A last look at our deck furniture that will spend the winter in the garage!

We had some really brilliant sun for a few hours earlier this week and I found my favorite color shots were deeper and more colorful even than last week -- so of course, I had to include them!

And then I was surprised to find this golden splash on the wall in our living room and I caught a golden sunrise shadow this morning!

  1. Beautiful, Sylvia. I am inspired. I will shoot in India since all the time we have the sun and shadows are always seen.

  2. You are right, Lady? I love chasing the perfect one, well--- even not perfect as I have nice shots to participate. Am contented with mine.

  4. Aw, too bad summer is over and winter is coming. Of all the seasons, I love summer most. Winter in Hawaii means rain and lower temperatures. Hate it when it's 55 degrees inside the house and we have no heat.

  5. Aaww, bye for now deck chairs! I'd much rather sit outside in the sun than curl up in front of the winter fire; this time of year often feels sad to me despite its beauty. Yet it's my favourite season too... odd?!

    LOL

  12. All the shots are wonderful. I laugh about the deck furniture..ours is already in the barn. Getting cool here and it is much too early. What a funny summer/fall we had and are having.
Maybe winter will be warmer..Ha! I should be so lucky.
    Happy SSS.

  18. The translucent table top adds a bronze touch to the patio above. And I like the indoor plant, its shadow a cheeky and fun (of course, an indoor plant shadow will be the replacement leafy shadow for the outdoor one in the colder winter). The colorful bottles and jars leave a pleasant shadow. Wonderful takes on all!
