I tried to find shadows inside this week because although we had some occasional sun, it was cold and windy and I'm a chicken where cold, windy weather is concerned. So, started looking around the house and these are what I found. All of the shots are more interesting if you click on them to embiggen!
The first is sun coming through a seashell that I brought home from a vacation years ago.
This was a almost hidden shadow on one of my plants.
The next two are just some favorite color shadows that I'm always playing with.
I like the fact that you have living indoor plants! I don't have any, because I am a lazy gardener.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Sylvia, if you follow my recipe for CHICKEN FIESTA, please REDUCE the black pepper from 1 tablespoon to 1 TEAspoon.
Mahalo!

Mahalo!
you are THE undefeated champion of color shadows!!
ReplyDeletelove them all
I really enjoy the hints of color in your shadows, first from the glassware and now the translucent shell. The shadows of green, blue and coral are artistic with the brief hues they leave. Nice!
ReplyDeleteLovely shadows Sylvia - especially the coloured glass!
ReplyDeleteSylvia, thanks for your kind words. You're right, shadows are sometimes are to find, they being dependant upon light and objects for their very existance. But you found some great ones.
ReplyDeleteLove your creative shadows. There are enough long, dark shadows here in Tampa to ship some off to you wonderful folks with gray skies and cooler temps. It is HOT here and I am trying to pretend it's Halloween outside with autumnal-looking arrangements on the porch...but the sweat is dripping on the fake pumpkins. (Fake because the real ones don't last in the heat, they become pies pretty fast.)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty.
ReplyDeleteHappy SSS. I like the shadows of color from the glass - great!
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvia! you treated us with another color shadow...thank you!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Sylvia! I especially love the shell. I hope the weather warms up a bit this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting way to look at a shell with light coming through. The colored glass shadows are gorgeous and I'm surprised how tall the blue one is.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I love that cat photo on your sidebar, too. That is funny! Happy Halloween.
ReplyDeleteThe green vase shadow looks like water. I love that one.
ReplyDeletePerfect!! You always manage to find them no matter how hard they try to hide! I love the shell.
ReplyDeleteHave a great SSS!

ReplyDeleteLove the light glowing in the shell. Looks like you have a house full of lovely shadows.
ReplyDeleteoh yes, beautiful as usual!
ReplyDeleteLove that first coloured shadow! Hey I'm a big chicken when it comes to cold and windy weather too! I run and hide from it :)
ReplyDeletewow, the seashell shot is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour colored reflections are always my favorites and I think the shell with its golden ambience qualifies today as well!
ReplyDeleteLovely Sylvia!
The green shadows had much in them and I can see why you want to play with them.
ReplyDeleteLove!! the coloured glass,, really nice!! It' all about shadows, or light, if you want.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the glass reflections as the sun shines through them and leaves lovely patterns of shadowy color.
ReplyDeleteI learned this wonderful lesson from you Sylvia. So I tried it too. Thanks, your a great teacher.
