I've had to really look hard this week and try to get creative with very little sunlight and a whole lot of gloom! There were the usual ones from downstairs, that move around, change size as the sun moves around at different angles during the fall!
And there was the Christmas Cactus celebrating early as usual, can't wait for December and it was really trying to find a tidbit of sun!
And a brilliant reason to love fall!
Another plant basking in the one sunny day!
I've never seen Christmas cactus! I love your photo, it makes the flowers glow!
ReplyDeleteShadows in Boston Downtown!
I liked that second shot Sylvia, it's like some kind of a train going down a hill.
ReplyDeletesimply beautifully captured shots...lovely play of lights & shadows!
ReplyDeleteSylvia, these are all so wonderful! You never fail us.
ReplyDeleteThe staging of your colorful shadows is always a treat. The shadows are cool that seem to be rising to a peak. Your living room is so comfortable looking. the light and shadows make it feel so!
ReplyDeleteI love how you always manage to find a bit of sunshine to share, literally or figuratively LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat set. I love that first one.
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely shots, Lady? Loving the green glass vase or something reflecting your nice room. It makes the whole room very cozy.
ReplyDeleteHugs to a lovely SS...
Beautiful shots my friend. I've never seen Christmas cactus either. That tree is breathtaking :) Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteYour really work hard for your shadows up there. That scarlet maple is well worth the effort, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI couldn´t get my eyes off that red furry cloud of a tree to see the photos with all the shadows. I was just fixed on that! Sorry!:-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice compositions for Shadow Shot Sunday, Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
I love the first two shots, very creative. I like them all. Sylvia, I have the creative blogger award that I would like to pass on to you, if you would pick it up at my site. Thanks for the inspiration you have been.

ReplyDeletehey I did a shadow shot yesterday on my blog..thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOh that tree! It's so beautiful - the States must be so pretty at the moment with all the fall leaves!
ReplyDeleteLove the line of shadows on your wall! Never knew that cactus is called a Christmas cactus in English. I have had that plant but it never flowered at our house. My friend has one too that has grown bigger and bigger through the years. It always flowers abundantly! Wonder what I do wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh and those fall coloured trees are so beautiful!
Have a nice Sunday!
Stop it! Too many absolutely beautiful shots, and all reminding me how close Christmas is. Is that stunning tree outside your house?
ReplyDeleteThe momiji (?) tree is gorgeous. I would love to see when the leaves are falling.
ReplyDeleteLovely shadows, Sylvia! That last RED tree is stunning! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That is a spectacular tree! It looks like it's ablaze.... or a giant fiery bouquet! Wow!
ReplyDeleteOh, that red maple is enough to stop me in my tracks for quite some time. You still offer quite the 'serving' of shadows shots in spite of your having to hunt them down!
ReplyDeleteGood hunting!
Wonderful pictures, Sylvia! The red tree is just awesome - so full of autumn it is :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your kind words in my blog :D
Beautiful shadows, especially the second one. I love the diagonal line of colors spilling down the wall.
ReplyDeleteI love the slanting shadow of glasses and that tree is amazing! It makes me think of a big clown's head!
ReplyDeleteHey Sylvia! Love that first shadow picture - what fun! Enjoyed seeing your Christmas Cactus. I have one that my grandmother gave me...it was once the biggest one around...then it came to my house. It doesn't bloom...and now it is 1/4 of the size it was (it doesn't deal with 3 kids, a big dog & cat well I fear!) Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shadow series! I like the lighting in your wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteA Christmas cactus? I've never seen one of those before! And THAT tree! How beautiful it is...I could stare at it all day! What a gorgeous time of year it is over there right now!
