Sky Watch Friday!

So, how are your skies this December day? Click on the icon and join Sky Watch! Klaus and the Sky Watch team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy, Louise and myself host Sky Watch every week and it's a marvelous opportunity to share the beauty of your skies with people from all over the world. Please do read and follow the directions!

Here in Seattle we've had a little of everything, but right now it is brilliantly sunny, not one cloud, but who knows what tomorrow will bring???

When I woke up this morning and staggered up the stairs to feed the dogs, I glanced out the window and couldn't believe my eyes! It was a full moon, beginning to fade in a cloudless sky! I barely caught these two shots, and to see them well at all, you need to click on them to embiggen, but it was a breathless moment!

How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains! ~John Muir

I drove down to the harbor later to get a glimpse of snow on the Cascades, and again, not a cloud, just brilliant sunshine and blue skies!

But earlier this week we had our usual glorious sunsets!

The poetry of the earth is never dead. ~John Keats

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~Kahlil Gibran

The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man. ~Author Unknown

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. ~John Muir
