Had to search the files for this Sunday's shadow shots! The sun has pretty much kept itself hidden for the past week except for one totally glorious sunrise that disappeared within about twenty minutes as it succumbed to the gray once again. So, here's what I came up with for today.
Here is Sir Sam Schnauzer enjoying a little sun on the deck along with Mojo the Most's feet!
The good old kitchen chair and plant!
My favorite deck furniture just before we moved it into the garage for the winter!
The shot that first started me looking at colored shadows!
And a favorite plant in the living room, soaking up what little sun it could find this week!
Great shadows, especially Sir Sam.
ReplyDeleteSunny :)
Thank you for letting me visit your house! I love that and now it is feeling familiar in a very comforting way.
ReplyDeleteNice shots as always! I think the one on the 'fridge is today's favorite.
Mojo being a tad bit shy today? LOL Great shadow of Sam :) Love it. My fav is the kitchen one. I love that :) Great photos my friend. Well done. Have a wonderful weekend. Off for Duck Tours with Quilly and Charley this morning. Should be fun :)
ReplyDeleteNice shot and shadows:-)
ReplyDeleteWish you a great evening!
another great selection Sylvia - my favourite are the first and the glass from the draining rack - great!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos; and the Pic of the pretty garden chairs on the wooden porch is SPECIAL:
ReplyDeleteIt's pure GEOMETRY....!!!!
FANTASTIC!!!!!....not only the different types of shadows...the geometric-shapes...the light and dark blacks.....just a marvellous combination of real colours and the fun "shadow geometry"....
have a wonderful and happy weekend, dear Sylvia
Have you reassured Sam and Mojo that they will sit in the sun again, someday?
ReplyDeleteLovely shadows...it looks like the plant got some of the limited sunlight to provide for Shadow Shots!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend as well Sylvia!
Sylvia;
ReplyDeleteBecause of you I look at shadows with a different eye!
Always love your shots!
Great shadow shots. I like the shadows of the old kitchen chair and plant. If you scrutinize the shadow of the old kitchen chair, as if you are looking of somewhat a fence with round top and there's a plant in the right side.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Slyvia.
Nice to see the shadow shots. They also remind me to look more carefully at things and appreciate negative space.
ReplyDeleteAll good. Sam's shadow is priceless!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Such a cute shadow shot of your dog's head!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right about my kitty being a bit annoyed:)
Who could go past Sir Sam? What a magnificent profile!
ReplyDeletelovely selection of shots, specially the first one, Sam is so handsome even when he's just a shadow!
ReplyDeleteLove that top shot with the pups paws just in shot!! Love your puppy dogs - so glad you include them in your photos!! :) Have a lovely Sunday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series of shadows around the house. My favourite is Sir Sam..
ReplyDeleteI especially like the one in the kitchen. We have chairs shaped like yours and our floor pattern is similar. Nice variety of shadows. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteHello northwesterner. My shots were from a few weeks ago. Had fleeting shadows last week, but ... nice to see the past.
ReplyDeleteYou found some great shadows. I like the chair and plant best because the shadow is so clear.
ReplyDeleteI am having lots of fun catching up with you.
ReplyDeleteI am so far behind too.
The kitchen chair and plant shadow are perfect....we had sun today and lots of snow shadows!
Hope you are staying warm.
Sherry
thank you for looking at my site and commenting. Just added a bridge shadow image. As we have not had much sun shine lately because the snow, l was lucky with my bridge image!. A l said on my site, this is the first time l have posted on Shadow Shot Sunday, although l have been following site for ages. Anyway, just thought l,d say hi!x lynda
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to find plenty of kewl shadows to share ... love the one of Sam and the dish drainer best today. Tried to catch Molly's shadow today w/o success ... maybe once I get my Nikon back I'll have better luck because I don't have to be so close to her.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Sam looks tall and proud in his shadow. The long shadow is probably a bit taller than the regal Sir Sam...The chair and plant add a fun look to the refrigerator canvas. The deck furniture, especially the opaque tabletop leave complex shadows. In the Winter, the weak sun makes strong shadows, so look in that direction and shadows appear like magic...
ReplyDeleteNice shots and shadows, Sylvia. Love the dishes draining.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shadow bonanza1 They're great!
ReplyDeleteI found my favorite shadow shot! And I knew what he was before I read your post... I have a soft spot for little pups just like Sir Sam Schnauzer. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteKindly, ldh
My lil' dog would love to be out in the sun on the deck...no sun, no heat...she stays inside and dreams...like me!
ReplyDeleteWhat great shadows as usual!. Love your pup's shadow.
ReplyDeleteAt least we had a bright sunny (cold tho) day today! Makes you feel so much better! Hope you get some of those!
Sam Schnauzer posed for the perfect shadow. No doubt it is from the schnauzer breed! Adorable...and Mojo's feet are a cute addition.
ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shots, all of them Sylvia. The chair and flower shadow on the fridge is an ingenious shot and interesting pattern.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Sunday.
My favorite is the kitchen chair.
ReplyDeleteNice floor, too.
Cheers!

ReplyDeleteCan I say: homemade shadows?! :)
Have a beautiful SSS!
You are so creative to find such great shadows with so little sun to help you along! I love the dishrack shot best! Oh and the doggies are always faves!
ReplyDeleteThe glasses and kitchen utensils glowed in the sun and I just lost myself in that every day scene that was so uplifting.
ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shots, especially Sir Sam.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shadow shots as ever and so varied. Naturally, I love Sir Sam Schnauzer's perfect silhouette :-)
ReplyDeleteTwo wineglasses dry
ReplyDeleteon a wooden rack, waiting
to be filled again.
Love your varied shadows, Sylvia! Nice job! I posted a kitchen chair a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for commenting at my SSS post! :)
