We've had variety of skies here in Seattle the past couple of weeks that's for sure. All lovely, different and a part of winter in the northwest. The following shots I caught about fifteen minutes ago. We had dawn all over the sky -- east, west, north, south! It was breathtaking!

Touch the sky, look the sun straight in the eye and laugh."
Linda Ellerbee

I believe that if one always looked at the skies, one would end up with wings.
Gustave Flaubert

There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.
Bern Williams

What is the good of your stars and trees, your sunrise and the wind, if they do not enter into our daily lives?
E. M. Forster

  16. Isn't it wonderful when God decides to paint on the whole canvas?
Both extremes of weather produce similar effects, is it that they were created by the same hand?

Lovely shots Sylvia, at least you did not have to get up at five oçlock for yours.

    Hugs, Arija.

  35. It was so cold here this morning that I stayed snug in bed and nearly missed the sunrise. I'm always amused by the fact that your skies (and my son's) frequently overlap with ours, despite the different latitudes and climates. Alas, I didn't have the camera out, but yours were better anyway. Thanks again for sharing them with us.
