so wrapped up
in themselves;
Shredded peppers
carrot slivers
streaks of onion
falling over each other
in delight
all whispering and gossiping
nestled amidst
cilantroed fish,
emerging from
a lashing of sauce.......
The middle one,
a bit older,
shrugs,
shoulder wide open.
The peppers
and onions,
and carrots,
wait;
Patience !
Life is more spicy
when enjoyed with
a green sauce
and a squeeze
of lemon...

ReplyDeleteWhen we were in America this summer, we drove past a sign that said "Fish Tacos" and we all shouted EEEEEWWWWWWW!! It sounded disgusting-- but it seems we'll have to try them next time LOL
