Shadow Shot Sunday!

All right all you shadow hunters it's time to show us what kind of shadows you found in your world today! Shadow Shot Sunday is hosted each week by Tracy at Hey Harriet! Click on the icon and join the rest of us who are hooked on shadows!

We've had a little of it all this week! Rain, gray skies, sun, beautiful clouds -- you name it!!

Sam And Mojo were so delighted with the sunshine the other day that I caught them being all lovey-dovey!

The deck furniture was inviting!

Lovely tree shadows down near the beach!

Along the Bay :

Dark and doubtful,
interspersed
with gaps
illuminating
the mind;
lessons of life
to be learnt
from the
mosaic of the mind.

A blink here,
a skip to the side,
resting in the green;
Navigating
the darks and lights
in your path,
strengthens you,
as you lean
across the banks
into the water
and see yourself
smile back....

A little more effort
and you
are on the verge
of
a bright and sunny
road into
future;
clear and clean....

The usual color shadows in the kitchen -- same vase, different sizes depending on the angle of the sun!

Enjoy your weekend! Hope you all have some sun!!

  2. Nice--that tree shadow is great, and I love the variety of colored shadows from a single vase. Have a great weekend!

  3. To be sitting on your deck in the sun would be inviting as mine is under about six inches of snow. :)
Wonderful shadows but that blue vase takes the top prize for me!

    Mine’s here: Round The Bend.

  4. The best thing about shadows is that you need sunshine to make them! Nice shots. :)

  5. Your deck looks ready for entertaining on, of course as we await the warmer seasons. The deck seems to belong to the dogs, in their opinion. The plants, vases and jars inside leave rich shadows on a sunny day. The conflict is whether or not we enjoy the views better outside or in...

  6. Ah, sunshine! Medicine for the soul! I like the blue water and green grass especially.
    Blessings!

  25. You did a great job finding shadows this week! Shadows are fun but Sam and Mojo win my vote for sweet.

Love Sam's warm fury winter coat. I prefer Raider long but then he gets matted. Most schnauzers have wiry coats but his is curly and soft as silk.

I searched your blog for schnauzer just so I could get better acquainted with Sam. Never can get enough schnauzer :)

  26. All your shadow shot are beautiful bur the first one with Sam and Mojo "socializing" on the deck is fantastic. They are so sweet.

  30. Ah, sunshine! I remember that. Your Sam and Mojo are so cute.

I love the shadow of the tree branches, Sylvia. And the blue shadow of the colored glass is pretty.
    The violet looks so healthy.

P.S. Linus is still with us: I just meant that it "was" Linus in the above photos. Woops!

  33. Dogs just know how to enjoy a sunny day on the deck...is that why they call them lucky dogs? Scratchy is anxious to lay out and roll in the fresh green grass, she'll have to wait awhile!

  34. Wowza! What a shadowy feast you've presented here! That lovey-dovey photo of Sam and Mojo is the most adorable thing ever! Hope you have a great week :)

  35. Obviously Sam and Mojo have such generous natures, sharing their home so generously with you. It's pretty obvious they know how to wrap you around their little paws. So cute.

  40. Great shots, so good to see the sun again.
None here, it's raining cats & dogs.

  41. Thank for invating us in - again!
    I like this:
    'the mosaic of the brain'

Lots of shadows means you've had some light
    around you... :)

    Happy SS Sunday!

ps. hailstorm is not common in Egypt. This was the first time for us in two years. We have mainly sandstorms...not nice because the fine sand goes everywhere...
