In spite of all the whining I do about winter and gray skies, we've actually had the mildest winter on record!! Go figure! And for what it's worth, they are predicting lovely weather for the next week. So, we're having some sun, some blue skies, but also some incredibly beautiful, colorful clouds so this week I'm focusing on them. Maybe if I'm nice to them, they'll let more sunshine slip through!
More varied than any landscape was the landscape in the sky, with islands of gold and silver, peninsulas of apricot and rose against a background of many shades of turquoise and azure.
~Cecil Beaton
The Sky is the daily bread of the imagination.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Those grey skies are just a challenge for optimists
~Loesje
The sky is God's gift to you . . . what you do with it is your gift to him.
~Bill Purdin
The clouds,--the only birds that never sleep.
~Victor Hugo, The Vanished City
The hooded clouds, like friars, tell their beads in drops of rain.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
