This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.
And here's the picture for the day!

He's cute,well mannered, even funny. He's still a monkey!
And my parents thought he could take John's place? Not till I swing by my tail!
Great one my friend. I don't think this monkey will ever take dear John's place.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week with maybe some visitors!
There seems to be some hanky-panky going on.
ReplyDeleteSylvia, where do you get the time to visit so many? Your server must be much faster than our which often falls out all together
Have a lovely sunny week.
Nice one Sylvia, I agree with Peggy, I don't think the Monkey will replace john, but I bet she and her new Love will find lots of things to do.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and funny, Sylvia! There are so many different takes people will have for this. Great caption.
ReplyDeleteHmm, the little monkey's grin tells me he definitely thinks the bar is indeed not set too high. LOL! I wonder what tricks he has up his sleeve (<-- or lack of one). Better stay on your toes, Johnnyboy!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture story-- loved it!
YIKES! Is John your beloved or a fictional character like I thought?! So sorry. No offense intended!
ReplyDeleteCLASSIC!! Nicely done once again, Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteWay too funny, Sylvia! I love it. You and Susan are great; I will have to try this meme.
ReplyDeleteYou caught that glassy look in her eye perfectly, Sylvia--pining for John obviously. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.
Oh I like your take on it -- sometimes parents just don't get it (or the kids don't LOL)
ReplyDelete...lots of evolution needed before that would happen.
ReplyDeleteHaven't been around for a while...love your new blog design.
LOL. This story I understood!
ReplyDeleteOuch. How inconsiderate parents can be sometimes. Swing a tail is a blast. I loved reading your MM. Have a wonderful week, Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I didnt know what to do with this one. But I love what you came up with.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and for your comments.

I know parents will do anything to find their daughter a partner, but a monkey?
ReplyDeleteHehe...this was so funny.
I think I went out with one his relatives when I was younger. (-: Good story!
ReplyDeleteThat was great fun. Enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the parents meant well!
ReplyDelete'The best-laid plans . . . gang aft a-gley' - who could blame the poor girl? LOL!!

Cool Header! Also went for the relationship angle. My 140 story
ReplyDeleteVery funny. We never see eye to eye with our parents.
ReplyDeleteParents will do many things to avoid the son-in-law they DON'T want...but I'm not sure the monkey is an adequate substitute in the long run!
ReplyDeleteJohn! Why she's too young..I'd have given her a two week grounding
ReplyDeleteshe should be thankful for the monkey
Well done!
Parents haven't got a clue when it comes to choosing a mate for their offspring! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I wonder what those parents must think of their daughter! Surely mating her with a monkey is a reflection of their regard!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea, Sylvia! John must be quite a guy.
ReplyDeleteBy the look in the lady's eye - perhaps she's a witch (a good witch) and turned her man into a monkey as punishment?
ReplyDeleteYour blog has changed since I was last here. Thank you for the oil spill info. I hadn't realised just how big it was until I did that - it's massive.
Cheers.
