MicroFiction Monday

>Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the icon to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.

This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.

And here's the picture for the day!

He's cute,well mannered, even funny. He's still a monkey!
And my parents thought he could take John's place? Not till I swing by my tail!

  1. Great one my friend. I don't think this monkey will ever take dear John's place.
Hope you have a great week with maybe some visitors!

  2. There seems to be some hanky-panky going on.

Sylvia, where do you get the time to visit so many? Your server must be much faster than our which often falls out all together

    Have a lovely sunny week.

  3. Nice one Sylvia, I agree with Peggy, I don't think the Monkey will replace john, but I bet she and her new Love will find lots of things to do.

  5. Hmm, the little monkey's grin tells me he definitely thinks the bar is indeed not set too high. LOL! I wonder what tricks he has up his sleeve (<-- or lack of one). Better stay on your toes, Johnnyboy!

    Great picture story-- loved it!

  9. Oh I like your take on it -- sometimes parents just don't get it (or the kids don't LOL)

  12. Ouch. How inconsiderate parents can be sometimes. Swing a tail is a blast. I loved reading your MM. Have a wonderful week, Sylvia.

  22. Very funny. We never see eye to eye with our parents.

  23. Parents will do many things to avoid the son-in-law they DON'T want...but I'm not sure the monkey is an adequate substitute in the long run!

  24. John! Why she's too young..I'd have given her a two week grounding
she should be thankful for the monkey

  25. Parents haven't got a clue when it comes to choosing a mate for their offspring! ;)

  26. Oh dear. I wonder what those parents must think of their daughter! Surely mating her with a monkey is a reflection of their regard!

  27. This is such a great idea, Sylvia! John must be quite a guy.

  28. By the look in the lady's eye - perhaps she's a witch (a good witch) and turned her man into a monkey as punishment?

Your blog has changed since I was last here. Thank you for the oil spill info. I hadn't realised just how big it was until I did that - it's massive.
    Cheers.
