I didn't have the car much this week, so I was running around chasing shadows at the house! We've had lots of sun, but mostly not until the afternoons and then it's been glorious! I'm sure you'll recognize my "toys", since I haven't been able to get out and add to my collection.
Uh oh! It's that old broad again, hiding in the stairwell!!
great zig-zag shadows on the stairs...
ReplyDeletehappy sss sylvia.
Very creative shadow shots. The room in the first pic looks very inviting for an afternoon nap.
ReplyDeleteI love your new look(maybe not so new, I have been away!) NEAT!!! I loved the home tour- in shadows!
ReplyDeleteVery fun to have a fellow blogger for a visit...I do love doing this too!
Hope your Sunday is bright and sweet my friend!

The late afternoon sun adds a nice look to the color of the vases on the sill. The stairway has interesting shadows that go against the grain of the straight and true steps. The kitchen with the Windsor back chair is always in style...
ReplyDeleteCould you please re-define OLD???
Don't need to go far to find shadows! They tend to lurk aroud... kinda like people in stairwells;0)

The shadows tell of a bright and cheerful day. Unless like here, it is 105 in the shade, then the shadows are not quite so cheeful.
ReplyDeleteI love the stairwell photograph - you could build a story round that :-)
ReplyDeleteI busted out laughing when you said about the stairwell..All shadows are great, as always..Happy SSS.
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvia- a lovely collection of shadows .... especially the stairwell one! regards, Anne

ReplyDeleteNothing like late summer afternoons to give great shadows. Love them all, especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend
These are great. I especially love the first one for the way you use color to bring light into shadow.

ReplyDeleteyou did well chasing down those shadows!! gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteWell done Sherlock! Like inspiration, our shadows come with us wherever we go, or not, as life dictates.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love all your shadow shots. You always find beautiful shadows around you. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday.
Glad to see the sun shone for you this week. I love the wonky shadow on the stairs. But you need to do something about that "broad" in the stairwell. Is she following you around?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadows. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteShadow Shot Sunday
Boy, I'll take that sunshine any ol' time of the day. Some of our mornings have been wonderfully cool, reminding me of Fall, I even saw a woolly caterpillar crossing the road the other day and according to Scratchy, there's a mouse in the house, the birds didn't use the birdhouses as much this year as last...I hope this isn't signs of an early rough winter...boy us Northuners really worry about this stuff huh!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!!!
Sylvia, the shadows in your pictures are so mathematical!
ReplyDeleteYou caught some great shadows Sylvia! Love the second one best. Oh and the 'Bobbie - Always Here' addition in your sidebar is beautiful by the way :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week ahead!
beautiful shadow shots, i like the zigzag shadows on the stairs.
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend dear.
I don't know what it is about that last shot with your shadow, but it just grabs me. I'm picturing you about to show the rest of you as you come in the door.

very fun shadows!
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the way you talk when you described the "Old Broad" in the stairwell.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures looking down the stairs while on the deck look just like my house except I don't have those little stepping stones at the bottom.
Good to see the shadow shots for shut ins. You did fine for not having a car.
Peace.
Haha..."old broad hiding"...you're funny:D Nice shots Sylvia! I'm glad you're having glorious afternoons!!
ReplyDeleteHI Sylvia! I'm running a bit late this week.

Interesting "Alfred Hitchcock" shadow of the photographer..
I'm just getting around to looking at the shadow shots. Busy couple of days.
ReplyDeleteI love those green shadows in the first shot and it was nice to run into "the old broad" on the stairwell.
