That's My World!

Autumn is slipping quickly into the northwest and while everything hasn't changed, the things that have brought back memories of the beauty we have here in My World at this time of year. I thought today I would share some glimpses of the beauty I have seen since I moved to Seattle. And, of course, my favorite, Mark Twain, always has something worthwhile to think about.

    Your world is a lovely mosaic. I especially like the autumn scenes as they are the sensations of the season.

    Hi Sylvia. This is one of your prettiest collages. I love the photos of autumn, my favorite time of year. We are still mostly green in Ohio, but some are starting to turn.

    Your pink trees look like the Japanese cherry in spring. They are so beautiful. All seasons have their own beautiful moments, even with humans when they are in the autumn of their lives.

    That first quote from Mark Twain is my favorite. I really love that and it is so very true isn't it?

    I can see signs of autumn around my neck of the woods too. I'd love to see more of Seattle soon bedecked in glorious fall colors.

    Fall is certainly kind to the PNW if these photos are any indication!

    Autumn comes slower here, but it'll be along presently I imagine. For now, it's still quite pleasant for late summer, though I'm expecting one final blast from the furnace before we're done for the year.

    I like the poem in your earlier post. This and your collage today remind me that life is seasonal for all things. I also enjoy the small quotes you include. They shed light on often forgotten poetic prose and wisdom. I could easily envision “little cat feet” as fog by Sandburg.

    Beautiful collage, Sylvia. Hard to believe the coast is that far ahead of us in fall colors, but we do have leaves falling.
    I love your Mark Twain quotes. The first one illustrates the moral of An Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel: it is better to go than not to go; you will seldom regret going but you may regret not going. And the last quote is SO true. Expanding one's horizons is a sure way to open one's mind.

    Great selection of photos, Sylvia. One of these days fall will arrive here, but it's still summer, with record high temperatures. We finally had some clouds today, but just dry lightning which sparked fires, no rain. Have a great week!

    Yes, a beautiful season and once one accepts the end of summer, there is much beauty to be seen - I'm still not ready for it, though I love the pic of the Acer Palmatum Garnet in your previous post. I've seen that here before!
