Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. I think we've seen the last of the sun for a while, so I grabbed what I could the past couple of days. Hope you all have a great weekend -- with some sun!!

There's a little bit of everything in this one including some old broad with a camera. But it was sunny and everything was reflecting in the breakfast room's big window!

This one got cleaned up a bit!

It's still surprisingly green down at the sanctuary and at least one duck and one turtle thought that was pretty cool -- or warm, as the case may be!

It was mostly gray at the harbor! Even the sun's reflection looked gray!

A poem written for this pic by my dear friend in Mumbai, India!
Thank you, my friend!
Gift in an Envelope

And how
wonderful
is this gift
to us !

Ocean bays,
calm waters,
green banks,
and mountains
rising to applaud,
the opera
in the skies.

And
bearing
tidings of a new day,
this gift envelope
licked shut
by a warm sun
melting
the adhesive
in the midst of clouds.....

  10. Very different and very nice reflections !
Today the moon is so big over the sea, it almost looks unreal. I'll try to get a picture, but I am not sure it will work. It's so nice here in Egypt. We always have over 80 ! Good for my old bones !
