That's My World!

How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for? It is chilly, wet, gray -- you get the picture, right? But I still have a great world -- just have to look a little harder and here are some views from the better times! This first shot I took from a bus stop and the lines and poles are a distraction, but the colors of the trees along the freeway and on the hill were so beautiful and typical of the colors you still can see all over the city -- although they are fading!

The all pervading
three-fourths
of the earth,
wide across
and traveling
in giant waves;
and the
firmly set,
brown and green
unwavering,
supporter of
homes and folks.

They meet,
not
with an almighty bang,
but
with a gentle
lapping of waves,
like
one
tickling the other ,
"hello !".....

Nature
has so many lessons
for
those that meet
with
swords,
bombs,
fatwas,
threats,
and
embargoes,
and
we have no time
to listen and enjoy
the quiet,
lapping
and messaging
of the waves...
