MicroFiction Monday

    Good one Sylvia, I can see the kids being concerned, probably never been away from a computer for more than 10 minutes at a time. Lets hope Grandma can teach them a thing or two. You have a wonderful Christmas Sylvia

    Poor kids! No wonder they're looking so glum... I bet Grandma has tons of silver to polish too, and buckets of popcorn to string for the tree!

    (Funny how looking back, some of my favorite Christmas memories were really CHORES in disguise! *gasp*)

    Oh, so true! I remember the good ol' days when we played Monopoly and Clue, the physical, cardboard and plastic board games, with other real life in-the-flesh people like siblings and cousins.

    When the grandsons come to this house, the Play Station, games, iPods, etc come along! But they still play Uno, Monoply, Rummikub, etc with us. Some things from their not too distant childhood are still fun for them.

    Reminds me of the Christmas about 7 years ago when there was a blizzard, and everyone stayed close to home, unconnected by cellphones and computers...you're right--so much fun!

    I loved to hang my Dads thick woollen stocking then see it Christas morn packed with goodies xx how times change xx but I have kept up the sock (not literally :)) for my big (six foot babies)even though they live far away now ~ special wishes Sylvia xx ~ Lib ~

    Love it, Sylvia! When I saw the illustration I thought of the song my son learned to play on the piano when he was about 8--Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go....
