Happy New Year Sylvia! What a lovely Christmas you had! Your pictures today are so bright and serene and isn't it amazing how current Will Rogers still seems? (Actually a bit sad in some cases, you'd think things might have improved over the years.) But he is great fun to read.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Sylvia! I love the one with the mountains!
ReplyDeleteWow - now that IS a wonderful surprise! Hope it's not seven years until the next time you meet up...
ReplyDeleteNothing beats that Christmas surprise visit from your daughter. So glad Santa gave you what you wanted!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere is the 3rd picture taken?
Sylvia that's fantastic that your daughter surprised you. These are beautiful shots from your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful phooto's as always Sylvia. You live in a beautiful country.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Sylvia. That second one with the snowy mountains and the helicopter is my favorite, along with the one with the snowy mountains and the boat. Both are simply stunning! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Sylvia. What more can I say? (Will Rogers and Mark Twain have already said all the good stuff.)

Sylvia, how great you were able to spend time with your daughter after seven years! Time goes so quickly and the years slip by much too easily. With all that is going on with the airlines these days her initiative is even more appreciated I’m sure. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteLovely, as always, Sylvia--My favoritie is the second one, the snow-capped peaks above the water. How long did your daughter stay?
ReplyDeleteShrinking life to its real and important meaning.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture with the helicopter ! Please have a good Tuesday you all.

Sylvia,
ReplyDeleteI am so excited that you were able to see your daughter...how wonderful! So there is no question it was a beautiful memorable holiday :)
I love your photos...
Superb shots and apt quotes, as usual. I am curious to know whose statue is it in the third picture.
ReplyDeleteLotusleaf, thanks as always for stopping by! The statue in the third picture is of Leif Erickson. There is a very large Scandinavian population in Seattle and has been for many, many years. There are museums and parks and other things dedicated to them.
ReplyDeleteSylvia
