Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the post title and sign up to play with us! And the new year is underway! And just like last week our weather is still  gray and grumpy, but I dug up some more from the mundane to the breathtaking! And then I played with some framing and a new program in Picasa!  Nothing like new toys!! Hope you all have a lovely weekend with lots of love and laughter

The doorstep to the temple of wisdom is a knowledge of our own ignorance.
- Benjamin Franklin

The older I grow the more I distrust the familiar doctrine that age brings wisdom.
- Henry Louis Mencken

A loving heart is the truest wisdom.

Missing you at Blogtrotter Two, where the Nile 2010 is coming to an end! But the temple of Philae surely deserves a comment. Enjoy and have an excellent weekend!

  9. «Louis» always likes the shots you post of sunlight filtering through glass as in the last photo - it reminds him of stained glass.

  25. Like the top one best, Sylvia. The quote as well. The Charles Dickens quote surprises me, not the message but rather the messenger. I admit my ignorance on the subject of Charles Dickens - never did get into his writing.
