MicroFiction Monday

Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the link under the title to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.

This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.

And here's the picture for the day!

One more Valentine's Party like all the rest. He was still the odd man out.
Wonder where that river went? Wherever, be better than here!

And from Mumbai!!  Drum roll, please!

Wonder how these four will react when they find out I am not George, but Linda, doing this as a challenge! Maybe I'll blog about it later!

  1. Haha, I think they are all twittering about who is going to be first to go over and talk to the handsome guy!

  2. It does look like he is Odd Man Out. I'd be off to explore that river if I was him. They don't look like they are interested in him at all.

  3. I think this time a lot of us are writing about the odd man out for the Valentine's Day MM! Poor guy. Good one, Sylvia. Hope you are keeping warm and enjoying life!

  4. Good take Sylvia, the odd man out is always more interesting. The river probably has a number of other ladies sitting by the edge for this guy.

  5. I bet he's wondering when he can interrupt those two in the foreground and get him to pass the wine!

  7. He is THIS close to joining the Royal Navy to see the world. But all he'll see is the sea.

  8. Love it--the river played a role in my MM this week too, but in a slightly different way.
Have a great week ahead. Cheers~

  12. This makes me think of my daughter. Although she has a boyfriend, she HATES Valentine's Day, and was muttering darkly about it tonight.

The kids put on a fancy Valentine's Dinner fundraiser at church. It was really well done.

  17. He should hurry down the river... who knows what or who he might find there... a damsel in distress or a frog princess.

  28. Oh, Sheila, those pastoral romantics--keeping in mind that Byron and Mary Shelley etc are what people usually think of when they hear that word!
