Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us!  We're still playing hide and seek with the sun these days, but I spent more time browsing through my files than trying to chase a few new reflections -- I am looking forward to having something to chase soon!!!

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.
 Sam Keen

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
Buddha

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.
John Burroughs

Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh often, work hard, give freely, pay promptly, be kind!

  2. The weather here is not amenable to reflections either Sylvia, and I too went digging through the files. I must say, my files are skimpier than yours. Your photos are gorgeous. I love the clipper ship. Wouldn't it be nice to sailing aboard it now! Have a great weekend.

  6. Awesome! These are so good Sylvia. The top shot brings back great memories. Can you believe that I lived in the S.F. Bay area for 5 yrs and I don't have any bridge or building pictures.

  13. Burroughs has captured my sentiments these busy days... but it is the Buddha quote I live by, or else I lose the day entirely. You have an eye for beauty, Sylvia. You too have a terrific weekend!

  17. San Francisco is the only city I have lived in which I still like. I can't explain why, but it is a special place for me. Thanks for reminding me; I recognized that bridge instantly!

  18. La primera es magnífica, con una perspectiva genial y unos reflejos maravillosas. Las otras también bonitas. Las citas son verdades que nos deben de servir para amar la vida.

  24. Sylvia, The bridge reflection is awesome, and the sunset is so serene, peaceful, and beautiful! Nice work! Again, I LOVE the quotes--between the photos and your lovely quotes, your blog is one that is not to be missed. Have a wonderful weekend--I'm guessing it will involve some "picture taking". Mickie

  30. I must follow the Buddha's teaching of living in the present and not worrying about the past or future. I do too much of that.

  39. The Golden gate bridge must have awed so many people. Your bridge photo is great, brings me back to 1977 when I too was taken there to look at it.

Have a great weekend. If you go to San Francisco again, buy a giant crab for me.
