Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the post title to be taken to the SWF website where you can sign up. It's been gray, windy, rainy and so it was back to my files! And as far as words to share -- well, I had a serious need for some laughter!! |

Yep, I can believe that!!

ReplyDeleteI love that first photo! I hear blue skies are on the way!
ReplyDeleteYour photos look great in these frames, Sylvia. Nice touch!
ReplyDeleteLike your Spring header very much. Do you have flowering trees or bushes already? Oh, isn't Spring exciting and delightful...Lovely captures. Hope you have a grand weekend.
ReplyDeleteAs usual the photographs and quotes are all great. I think the first one is my favorite this time because I love the composition.
ReplyDelete:D I don't know where I am going either but I am always on my way :D

ReplyDeleteI love these photos, Sylvia! Water! Buds! All good to these desert eyes!
ReplyDeleteGreat sequence Slyvia. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteThese are all great photos, as always, Sylvia. My favorite one is the firstone--I like the three horizontal sections--sky, river and fishing boats. Nice composition! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove the Byrne quote! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots you have found to share!
I had to look twice at the first one and then it dawned on me it was boats - wow. I wonder if I could borrow just one.
The next to the last sky shot is my favorite - a warm and lovely glow.
Hope your weekend is filled with beautiful skies.
As usual, nice skies and a good collection of quotes. My pick is the Will Rogers quote; liberty is a messy business and carries a lot of responsibilities.
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to showcase the very best skies of Seattle. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteSkywatch here
lovely series of photos. and the quotes made me laugh and think too at the same time. enjoy the weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteSylvia, what a totally superb looking harbor scene. It should be framed, just that good!
ReplyDeleteI must confess my SkyWatch entry got messed up this week, as I was finally able to change the appearance of my blog and it was quite a difficult change over, so the little Nuthatch will have to suffice for this week.
Have a great weekend~ Mary
Lovely photos (as usual). I like your new Blog header picture too--tell your friend she does a nice job.. Your quotes are great--I always have a pencil and paper handy when I come to your blog. Thanks, Mickie =)
ReplyDeleteWould you mind locking me 'into the habour'?! Wonderful picture. Please have a good Friday.

Stunning images and wise words in the quotes Sylvia! I have one more month here in the blue sky country! Enjoy your day. Anna
ReplyDeleteHow true: liberty is well overrated. Try enjoying your freedom whilst your children are dying of starvation...But looking on the bright side...Wonderful set of photos here, Sylvia! You really captured the air of spring even though it still feels like winter. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteTerrence looks at the sky
as always, your photos never fail to amaze me. i love the quotes too. have a terrific week Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteAll excellent quotations, and true. But I love the Charlie Brown one.

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Beautiful photos as usual. I did not know what the first photo is showing.
ReplyDeletebrilliant captures all!
ReplyDeleteLotusleaf, the first shot was taken at the harbor on the Sound, it's about a five minute drive from where I live and one of my favorite places to go. This was taken a couple of weeks ago on a really beautiful, cold day. Glad you enjoyed the pics for the day!!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Oh, golly gosh, I must be getting old, it is hard to concentrate on your pictures and concentrate on your well picked quotes.
ReplyDeleteI have to resort to the stratagem of absorbing the quotes as a first course and viewing your splendid pictures for dessert. The first shot got me right in the orchestra pit since it looks so much like something that it is not.
The boats in the marina huddled all together are like frosted furrows in a field turned by a master ploughman. A really amazing shot.
I once saw something similar while flying over Sydney harbour, there were multitudes of yachts out that day and the sea saw blue and in one of the large coves the white yachts were dotted on the water like sheep in a field.
Allusions can be wonderful that way.
Enjoy every step of every day my friend.
My joints are seizing up with the cold blasts from the Antarctic, must away for a walk to get them moving again.
Oops, forgot to mention your pussy willows, if they are out, spring in all its glory is not far behind.
ReplyDeleteI always feel like I have encountered a kindred spirit when I visit your blog. This post is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteoh my that first photo is just glorious. and it looks like pussy willows are out! beautiful skies Sylvia. and excellent quotes as usual - love the Sandburg and Truman! happy SWF, and have a beautiful weekend!

Beautiful skies,love those branches.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics as always, Sylvia. Second from the bottom (sunset?) truly outstanding. Nice to see the mountains out! We'll be over Portland way in a week or two, hope the skies are clear then.

ReplyDeleteThose boats and the mountains, I always get mesmerized by them!
ReplyDeleteYou really do capture the most beautiful skies, Sylvia! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI do like that first picture - so much space and the boats look so small. Splendid.
ReplyDeleteStewart M - Australia
Wonderful variety of skies! Especially love the sense of openness and freedom in the first photo and the radiant colours in the second last one!
ReplyDeleteLove that first pic especially, postcard perfect. Have a blessed weekend, Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteGreat skies as always, no, better today. I also like that you started to frame the shots.
ReplyDeleteAnd, when I am up to that. I hope you don´t mind me saying that. Now when you learn to handle the photo manipulating program, why don´t you learn to tilt them as well? When the horizon is right your shots are excellent. :)
Lovely skies and quotes for skywatch. Hope you have a great weeke
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs and more from your never expiring fountain of quotes. I love the one from Sandburg about how much you can accomplish when you don't care who gets the credit. It takes people years to figure that out.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Sylvia!!
so much beauty to be found here as always Sylvia:-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies and some wry quotes today. Actually that Carl Sandberg one about being an idealist really makes me smile; it kind of describes me -- I know how I feel, but I don't do much about getting anywhere with it.
ReplyDeleteThe pussy willow picture is wonderful and makes me homesick for the Pacific Northwest. No early spring flowers here in FL>
Beautiful skies! And I love your quotes...had not actally read the Charles Schulz one before. I may adopt it as my motto...:)
