Weekend Reflections

Please, everyone, offer prayers for the families and victims of the horrific earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Warnings are being issued as far away as California and Washington. I think we all have friends in these areas that are in need of our prayers and good thoughts.

    Looks like Shilshole in the first photo -- don't we just have the most beautiful marina reflections when the sun shines?

    I absolutely LOVE the Edith Wharton quote! And the Keyes quote scares me because that means a lot of Canadian politicians must think the world is hostile. That is sooo SAD!

    I love the calm waters of the harbor reflections and immediately thought about the difficult time our friends in the Pacific are having with the Tsunami. I just wrote down the Wharton quote... how marvelous!

    My wife is Japanese and we have been able to contact her family there. All are safe. What an amazingly huge and tragic thing...

    I found out about the natural disasters in Japan through an email from a friend asking whether I was safe. It is close to home, even when I am far. Another profound set of quotes and lovely reflections, Sylvia.

    Hi Sylvia, some Japanese friends sent news clips of the tsunamis coming inland--awesomely terrible. Makes me appreciate the fragile nature of our world. That and living 6,000 feet above sea level...

    I especially love the first photo! The deepest color of the sea is indigo, Japan blue, which is my favorite color. Always I'm studying from your words, the first one is similar to "Cause and Effect" in Buddhism.
