A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Everyone you meet is your mirror. -Ken Keyes |
The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives. -Albert Einstein No eyes that have seen beauty ever lose their sight. -Jean Toomer |
There are two ways to spread happiness; either be the light who shines it or be the mirror who reflects it. -Edith Wharton |

Looks like Shilshole in the first photo -- don't we just have the most beautiful marina reflections when the sun shines?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the Edith Wharton quote! And the Keyes quote scares me because that means a lot of Canadian politicians must think the world is hostile. That is sooo SAD!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and words! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in that second shot. Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDear Sylvia, you always have something special to show us, thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult to choose, but I think the first one is my favorite, the picture brings me THAT feeling of a lovely day - weekend - Spring - SUN - ROMANCE! :)
MErci beaucoup!

I so enjoy your beautiful reflection images, and thoughtful quotes. My heart goes out the people of Japan and everyone affected by the quake and tsunami.
ReplyDeleteI love the calm waters of the harbor reflections and immediately thought about the difficult time our friends in the Pacific are having with the Tsunami. I just wrote down the Wharton quote... how marvelous!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
My heart aches about this catastrophe :(
ReplyDeleteSeeing your photos though I am calmed...beautiful postcard perfect shots!

I found out about the natural disasters in Japan through an email from a friend asking whether I was safe. It is close to home, even when I am far. Another profound set of quotes and lovely reflections, Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvia, some Japanese friends sent news clips of the tsunamis coming inland--awesomely terrible. Makes me appreciate the fragile nature of our world. That and living 6,000 feet above sea level...
ReplyDeleteDear Sylvia! I am over the hill as well, but heaven sake: where are you located? If you see my profile You could just walk to my house.
ReplyDeleteOnly the Skandinavien like to tell exactly their location.

ReplyDeleteSylvia,
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous !!
I especially love the first photo! The deepest color of the sea is indigo, Japan blue, which is my favorite color. Always I'm studying from your words, the first one is similar to "Cause and Effect" in Buddhism.
Deeply impressed.
