Very nice photos Sylvia and so beautiful words !!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend !
Magda
Beautiful photos Sylvia (as always). I especially love the duck! Hard at work in the shallows...
ReplyDeleteThe duck is funny! I particularly love that last quote about bringing your own sunshine... When you do it has a way of lighting up a dark place in multiples!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
the duck is funny :)
ReplyDeletelovely images all
your new header is wonderful
a perfect way to celebrate a new adventure
you're my hero you know
Hope sends hugs
I also love the duck, how cute and he is trying to get the dinner! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful set of reflections!
A nice weekend,
Léia
Bravo Sylvia, j'aime beaucoup la pureté des lignes sur la première
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkling water in the first one and upended ducks always make me smile!
ReplyDeleteAll 3 of your images make me feel like whistling with slush in my shoe. I'm finding it hard to believe your weather is still keeping you from the chase....so sorry. Do have a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to sail to this island, using that boat, following this duck! your pictures are so inspiring! have a nice week-end, dear Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteSunlight reflecting off the ocean, today we share an idea.
ReplyDeleteI like the mat and frame treatment you've got today.
All three lovely reflection photo's Sylvia
ReplyDeleteThe first one is quite unsual in your reflection shot ; I like the contrast between the dark mass of what looks like an island and the blue enlighted of the rest of the image... Great shot indeed...
ReplyDeleteAnd the duck made me smile...
Have a lovely end of week too, my dear...
"...bringing your own sunshine," classic! So many need to read that quote! I love your upside down ducky and awesome sailboat! Spring is on it's way! Yay! Have a wonderful weekend, Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteThat island is awesome, just jumping out of the water!
ReplyDeletethose mallards always make me smile. Love the first sea shot too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great set of Weekend Reflections photos. I really like the picture of the duck which you've captured.
ReplyDeleteAwesome capture . Hope you have nice weekend
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvia, I especially like that last quote. isn't that the truth? if we make our own then what the sky is doing doesn't matter so much. I love the duck butt. have a great weekend Sylvia. love your new header to btw!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the sun is out in Seattle today, Sylvia. Love the new header. :) Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. Love the saying "Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush".
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good St Patrick's Day Sylvia! Ooh these are great, my preference goes to the first one.
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvia,
ReplyDeletela barca è una meraviglia !
Buona serata.
Myriam :)
an upended duck never fails to amuse!
ReplyDeleteMy goal is just to HAVE files as beautiful as yours. I do hope you get some spring weather soon, but I am sure none of us mind seeing your beautiful photos no matter when they were taken. And besides your quotes are always so fresh and perfect.
ReplyDeleteI am very far behind and have just read through 8 or so of your wonderful posts and am very happy! As your blog always brings cheer. I had to forward to "walking" one to my husband (Ah the modern way to communicate -- we use the same computer, but he's not here right now).
And did you move? I didn't find but one mention that you were looking for someplace new and I see it in your header. But you are still in Seattle I assume? Otherwise you wouldn't be talking about gray skies.
Anyway, cheers and best wishes for a soon-to-come spring wherever you are.
Wow love that duck doing the diving!
ReplyDeleteWeekend Reflection
Excellent reflexes, my favorite is the second of those beautiful greens. Saludos.
ReplyDeletepeek-a-boo, you can't see me says the duck.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of when I was a teen ager. I had to take care of my parents' ducks, and they did this in the creek and when it flooded.
I absolutely love the first quote by Aristotle. I have always been able to find something to marvel at no matter how "ugly" a landscape is.
ReplyDeleteYou are the oracle of Seattle Sylvia. We went on a road trip to Oklahoma City and just got back so I'm a chilling right now.
To reflect on bringing my own sunshine is a very worthy reminder.
ReplyDeleteThanks
That last one is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThree wonderful reflection images, Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteHave a very pleasant weekend!
Wow wonderful scenes and reflections!
ReplyDeleteLove sailing.
Happy weekend.
xo
I'm wishing you a happy spring and a fabulous weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the little duck bottom of course :)
ReplyDeleteThe loveliest images! And I found myself nodding as I read the quotes.
ReplyDeletelovely captures!
ReplyDeleteWonderful images, Sylvia. Especially the duck And I love the last quote. Hope you're enjoying a great weekend. Blessings, Jo
ReplyDeleteMy observation relates, not to your Weekend Reflection post, but to Pavel Friedman's quote you ha on your side-bar. Was so touched by what I read that had to post this somewhere. His reference to butterfly in the ghetto brings you close to tears.
ReplyDeleteIs that an island on top? How wonderfully green!
ReplyDeleteSylvia, another SUPER heading! I notice the moving truck and read in your comment on another blog you'll soon be making a change. Hope that is all a pleasure for you, although the moving itself can be a big chore. We'll need to move out of the house we have made a home for the past seven years by the end of August and I am NOT looking forward to the hunt or the packing. You have a treasure archive... another super set of photos for WR. What's not to like about that ducking duck!
ReplyDeleteWow! You have a lot of visitors, Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteHe he he! Funny duck! It made my day;o)
ReplyDeleteAnd the first shot is simply wonderful! Beautiful blue sky and shimmering water!
And with the last shot I will say: I came, I saw and I was conquered;o)
Thanks for sharing, Sylvia;o)
