How About This Sunset!!!

I'm moved in! I'm exhausted! But what a view from my new "office" this evening! Had to share it with you! Thanks for all the good wishes and good thoughts! They are so appreciated! Still a lot of work, unpacking etc, etc, etc! But I'm getting settled in! And this sight was just what the doctor ordered. I'm on the 5th floor, and the big, double windows in my cozy little office face west! I had hoped it would give me a great view, but I had no idea how good!  My next ones will be from the roof -- no window frames! Hope your weekend has gone well. I am SO glad to have the move over with. Still stuff to be done over the next few days, but I'm pleased and comfortable with my new home! And so is Sam Schnauzer!!

It's first
a thought,
close in the mind;
then,
a sharing,
with folks,
earlier close,
but now
a bit at a distance;
And finally
a striking out,
wide and open ,
to enjoy
your very own sunsets
on a golden evening
ensconced
amidst the boxes and bags;

So like
the blinds
on the picture window
gradually
opening up
and then some;
so you can smile
at the Sun
reveling amidst
his cloudy baggage,
before settling in for the night...

Welcome home !

  10. We have only one west-facing window, and it is very small. I dream of adding a larger window, for winter sunsets when it's too cold to go outside. Your photo has reawakened that dream.
    Wishing you and Sam happiness in your new home. Hugs to both of you.
