Shadow Shot Sunday!

Get out the magnifying glass, get into your best sleuthing clothes and start prowling your environment looking for those wonderful, but sometimes elusive shadows. This fun and challenging meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the link under the blog title and sign up to play!!
We've had our usual mix of rain and sun on an hourly basis, but I managed to catch a couple of pretty good shadow shots at my new place, plus some from last weeks trip to Bellevue.

Wishing you all a very happy and fun weekend!!
In photography there are no shadows that cannot be illuminated.

  7. Seattle may be full of clouds with the occasional dreary drizzle. So capturing that fleeting solar orb and the resultant shadows, being ready is so important. At your site, I can't imagine the dreary Seattle we were all taught about. Happy Memorial Day to you!

  10. Sylvia, I like to think that your quote applies to life as well... we can illuminate our shadows and those of our friends.

    May you have a wonderful weekend, mon amie!

  11. I like the parted curtain, Sylvia, and the light peeping in!

    I ALMOST LOST MY SHADOW

    I almost lost my shadow,
    I left it in the park;
    I heard my mommy calling,
    For it was getting dark;

    She has no use for shadows,
    She thinks they are quite grim,
    And when she saw my shadow,
    She thought it was a “him.”

    I had to educate her
    And tell her it was “she’
    And now my faithful shadow
    Is welcome as can be!

  25. Great shots! I like the little planter with the grass. Our local coffee shop has planted a long grass in the streetside planters. I wonder if that is her plan, to grow grass instead of flowers!!?? I love to visit you on Sundays dear Sylvia.

    Peace
