That's My World!

What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for?

As some of you know, I'm not a shopper, but I always hope that the trips each week will provide some photo ops -- even at malls and here in Seattle I haven't been disappointed. This past week we went to an outlet mall that shares an area with one of the many casinos here. I spent about fifteen minutes in the outlet mall -- which was the biggest I've even seen!!! Then I headed outside to take a look at the surrounding area and I wasn't disappointed! Can you believe that even a McDonalds had a lovely outside eating area with a fountain!!! Ah, Seattle!! And the last couple of shots today were taken at home as I get more settled in.

Hope you all have a wonderful week filled with love and laughter -- and, yes, I do know that it is getting harder to find a great deal to laugh about, but it's always worth the effort!

    You found a lovely little park to photograph, yes, Seattle is a beautiful, green place.
    I'm getting old enough that the scary thing is that soon my sons' high school classes will be running the country. When your doctor and your president are younger than you, that's when you feel old.

    I agree, Sylvia, laughing is definitely worth the effort and great exercise to boot! In fact, I had to laugh out loud at the last quote about the high school class eventually running the country … scary as that might be. You home is lovely and cozy and you might be hard pressed to leave with all the wonderful sights out your window (previous photos) and technology at your fingertips taking you all over the world.

    I haven't been to Seattle; been as far as Portland. But I'm guessing just like Portland/Oregon, Seatle and WA state must be as verdant as it's neighbor. What a sight it is in your photos.

    I also love the Vonnegut quotation. I remember how shocked I was when I found out one member of my high school class was a national banking big-wig. On the other hand, we were a pretty good group, even though our school was very small.

    I laugh every time I read that "high school class" quote by Vonnegut . . . it was SO true, except now we have Obama, and he is the next generation. Gee, I must be getting old.

    Hi there - I have to say I find it hard to believe that McD's has anything that is lovely - although I'm probably just showing some form of bias in this!

    Thanks for visiting my blog - the cold here is fine (I had a similar conversation with a guy at work today) - it’s not really that cold - I wear shorts most of the time - although my wife tells me off for doing it and hides them! If you don’t have a cold time, how can you enjoy spring?
