Wonderful skies, Sylvia. I love the David O. McKay quotes, too.

Wonderful shots. Beautiful cloud formations in the sky.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize we are starting on a new season....I better go on some photo shoots soon, as my sky picures are getting rather low.
ReplyDeleteLove yours. Looks like you were in the right place at the right time and with your camera.
Have a great weekend Sylvia.
My dear Sylvia, you always share the best collection of skyscape. Love them all - every week.
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful shots Sylvia. I love the clouds so much and you get great ones.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about how elusive peace can be and I find it hard to understand why things get so messed up. I had to smile this morning when I saw a flag fluttering at my neighbor's house. There are a lot of U.S. Flags and Sports flags and garden flags but this was the first Peace Flag I'd seen someone have out. I thought about asking where they got it because I would love to have a Peace Flag too. Maybe start a new look in the neighborhood although I know some wouldn't like it.
Great collection of photos and quotes, thanks for sharing (and hosting) with SWF
ReplyDeleteSylvia your sky shots are beautiful. Happy sky watching.

ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
Beautiful pics.
ReplyDeleteI loved the quote by David O. McKay. I lived in Utah in the early 60's and remember that he was the leader of the Mormon church. I'm not Mormon and will never be but I have lots of Mormon relatives. I can't condemn them, they are very nice people
Oh well, enough of that. I have a three day weekend. I'm helping Heather with a fund raiser tomorrow (she is here, there, and everywhere with volunteer work).
Beautiful skies and quotes as always -- the 'adjust the sails' one is appropriate for where we are right now -- when I see the boats, I'll remember it (and pray that we have leaders who will be able to adjust).
ReplyDeletelovely shots
ReplyDeletehappy SWF

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Beautiful, beautiful skies and Yes, I too pray for the same.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend my dear, here, things are not quite what one would wish.
I'm totally ad idem with you about peace, Sylvia. A little compassion goes a long way. It's too bad that in politics today, cooperation and compromise are seen as weakness. It's good to reflect on such matters when looking at peaceful skies!
ReplyDeleteYour shots for Sky Watch are absolutely beautiful! Even though it's colder this year, we still don't have much cloud formations worth for a pic in California
ReplyDeleteWhat a variety of sky shots, Sylvia, all gorgeous. I particularly like the the composition of the last one with the tree branches against the sky.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend. I'll be in SoCal for my sister's 40th wedding anniversary/60yh birthday...a mini family reunion!
Gorgeous patterns in those fluffy white clouds!
ReplyDeleteWonderful clouds and skies. I like the sunset very much, delicate colors and framed with the trees.
ReplyDeleteHope you have blessed Summer days:-)
Good early Monday Morning Sylvia, from KY...I had three homes to care for pets, wildlife and gardens last week, besides my own and with family visiting..whew, just getting to my SkyWatch friends.
