Considering the incredible, searing heat across most of the country these days! I can assure you that I'm grateful to live in the northwest where we are enjoying one of the coolest summers on record here!!! Amazing and somewhat disturbing! What's next???? I haven't gotten out a lot this week, but here are some shots and words for the day! Wishing you all a beautiful weekend!

ReplyDeleteSylvia, your picture with the lace curtain and reflections on the table is my very favorite of your lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, tomorrow my post on my "one thousand gifts" one of my pictures is very similar, as I took it at Santa Barbara at a friends home.
Have a great weekend.
love that last one! so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow you sunset picture is awesome ! It looks just as if the sun had fallen in the sea... Gorgeous ! I really enjoy the one with the blue gobelet too : the composition between light and shadow give such a mysterious touch to the picture...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunset; really love the sunlight through the lace curtains and blue goblet!
ReplyDeleteHello Sylvia! Okay, the reflections are very cool but can I come to the party in your header?!!
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset!

Ditto on being thankful for Pacific Northwest weather (and for being here -- and for wondering about as well)..... Beautiful pictures and reflections, as always in both senses of the word.
ReplyDeleteGotta love Danny Kaye's creative mind. :) I always love your colourful glass and reflections.
ReplyDeleteOscar Wilde always makes me chuckle and nod my head in agreement. And the photos are glorious! I love blue and immediately admired the blue goblet with its wonderful shadows.
ReplyDeleteSend us your cool weather anytime! Have a wonderful weekend!
You always have the most beautiful sunset photos. I also love the lacey curtains with blue glass. Happy weekend Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteI tell you that first one is just breathtaking. It looks like it is speaking too you. Just exquisite. I hope you are well my friend. Have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteSylvia--your skies for SWFriday were amazing!
ReplyDeleteAnd your reflections stopped me in my tracks, especially the last.
happy weekend!
love the blue lacy shadows
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, refreshing shots, Sylvia. We're lucky with the weather at our house - because of our altitude we've only hit 90 twice this summer, and quite likely won't again, so I can't complain. Socks gives Sam a nose-nuzzle!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sylvia ... and oh my gosh ... Danny Kaye ... haven't thought about him in years!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful variety of photos all with magical lighting! Love the shadow detail and blue glow in the last photo!
ReplyDeleteI was out in the 103 degree weather today shooting the ducks at Lake Robertson. Can’t wait to clean up the photos and post them. They are my first ducks ever so am a happy camper. Your series is wonderful. Have a happy weekend. My son called from Baimbridge where they have just moved to a gorgeous larger home with a barn and a pond and gorgeous landscaping. He said he is getting us out there soon to see it. Can’t wait to get back out there. Hugs, Genie
