A woodland in full color is awesome as a forest fire, in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart. Hal Borland |

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. Stanley Horowitz |

Those red trees are gorgeous! Our trees haven't turned yet, but I'm waiting. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Sylvia...that tree is amazing in the first shot! How pretty! Our trees are starting to turn....can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favorite season and your tree photos have brightened my morning. Gorgeous colors! Our Autumn just started here on the west coast.
ReplyDeleteThe shadow on the modern architecture is quite cool, a modernist building and shadow, too. I am drawn even more to the shadows of the old neighborhood - that first home has a neat Tudor style, the trees are older and even more elegant on this street. It is so classy in subject and shadow! Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteGreat Autumn colour.
ReplyDeleteJust L-O-v-E the bright Autumn colors and the cool tree shadows that they aford us! The first SS is my fave. Happy SSS!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shadows, as always, Sylvia. You certainly have a knack for these shots, and we all get to enjoy them. Thanks!

I like the shadows on the deck, but the trees are truly amazing. We don't have anything nearly that colorful out here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, I love them all. How beautiful, is not which to choose. Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI saw this tree already on another blog, it's just amazing they look like fire balls on a trunk !

Wonderful Fall color Sylvia! We doh't have nearly that here yet. I am hoping for it -- soon!
ReplyDeleteWonderful fall colours my friend. The first looks like a Japanese maple and the second like those dark leafed prunus. Delicious dahlia too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having the time of your life!
I am managing somehow, when needs must . . . before I can go to my sister, I have to have a large molar that is misbehaving, extracted. That should be fun with my super thin blood. With my replaced valves it is too risky to leave it till it blows it's top. They do say troubles never come alone, I guess they too need company.
Wow! - gorgeous colours - and - yes, I do see the shadows as well;)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful shots. The last one, so cheerful. :)
ReplyDeleteAll of these very very beautiful. I love the sayings too! Autumn colors have been so vibrant around here as well. I say Have been, because the last 2 days the wind has stripped the trees clean of their leaves. But there is still beauty in the children playing in the piles in the yard. Very nice Ms. Sylvia.
ReplyDeletePeace
Wow! The colors in these photos are outstanding - especially that red tree!!
ReplyDeleteI like your pup's hidden bedroom. :)
"Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile."

ReplyDeleteWe're behind you - most of our leaves are yellow, only a few red ones. But it's getting colder at night later this week and more red will be here too.
