Our World!!

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Steve Jobs

There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be
nothing. Aristotle

The best portion of a good man's life is the little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.
 William Wordsworth

Time for "Our World" again! This is a wonderful way to find the beauty, the fun, the good and even the bad things about Our World and to share them! Hope you will join us!

Well, actually my post for today is my "new" world in Portland. Things aren't completely finished, but I'm getting there!

  9. Your Hydrangeas are doing fine! Mine usually bloom in May, but are still not in full bloom yet. It has been too cold
Until now. Thank you for visiting. I hope you will have a great week.

  15. Hey, Babe! Nice hydrangea shots. This has been a good year for hydrangea around here and it looks like they have thrived on the other coast, too.

  21. Your blog posts always touch me. I love those hydrangeas, and seeing them makes me remember past (and far moister) gardens I've planted and loved, prior to my life in the desert.

And the Wordsworth quote: I was just remembering this morning a past kindness from a teacher to my son, over thirty years ago. It was a small thing - she had her third grade students each write a note of welcome to my boy, who was feeling very uprooted due to our recent move to New England - but it made all the difference. I always remind her of the results of her "act of kindness and love." He is still friends with many of those long-ago third graders!

Thank you, Sylvia, as always, from your longtime reader and fan, Clair Z.
