Our World!!

This pic was taken by the daughter of a good friend of mine of  one of the many fires on Mount Hood this year!! It is an awesome mountain and I have shown it to you before, but not like this! Quite a picture of "my world" today!!

    Terrifying … wonder if the carelessness of mankind had anything to do with some of this … and I wonder how wildlife survives in such dramatic cases. Firefighters have got to be on the top of the list as heroes.

    Sylvia I have not been visiting you because I could never get on your blog there always was a blog from 2009 on. But now it all of a sudden worked out well.     The fires out west are horrible. I know of the recent one in Colorado and the current ones in California, but I didn't know that Mount Hood also was threatened by fire. Bad!

    A fantastic shot until you see what it is all about. Wildfires are the bane of our existence here as well. Others look forward to the summer and the beach, I just dread the dry and the fires.

    Hi Sylvia! I am terrified of bush fires. In Australia there are a lot of them and my daughter lives in a forest, which is sometimes very dry.There are bushfires which are started deliberately by the local people, but they are under control.Wildlife runs the danger of being killed by fire. I hope that the fires in your country will be extinguished soon. I saw some of it on TV, this morning.
