One Quiet Moment

What good is the warmth of summer without the cold of winter to give it sweetness. ~Author Unknown

  1. I'm not buying that theory. Skipping the cold of winter is a blessing in my book.

  2. Well, when people say its cold, I tell them that it is January. I try and not let the weather bother me too much. Except I don't like ice. Hate ice.

Another post for you Sylvia. Good for you.

  3. Yay, glad to see you can still post Sylvia...and what a marvellous one it is! I've never seen a skyscape like that, how lucky you are to be gifted with such beauty. I am a winter person, so I really don't mind the cold.

  4. Good to see you are able to post, Sylvia. Beautiful image. I don't do cold and love living in Tanzania because it's always lovely weather here. When we go home to South Africa in June, it's mid-winter and we normally bike all over the country. And I get very cold! So I'm always glad to return to EAST Africa. Hope your day is going well. Jo

Golden skies, golden words. There is something special about defined seasons. Like or don't like is irrelevant, Nature will have her way! YAM xx

  8. I have said this many times: every season holds something special that we should cherish, we shouldn't wish for time to fly away, just to have summer again.

  10. A very nice quotation. That is why I could never have lived in the tropics.
