Steamboats on the Mississippi River in 1907 This shot was "colored" later, but I lived in New Orleans in the 50s and this sight was not uncommon even then. I took one up the river and it was wonderful!
i wonder if that native american is as sad as i imagine him to be...seeing change on this doorstep...and can he even imagine how much his world will change int he coming years....
