Sylvia's world in thoughts and pictures
Goodness how things have changed :) I love to see these old photos Sylvia, so fascinating!
I love looking back. Well, sometimes. Sometimes I think, "Oh, my achin' back!" And then if I want music I look Bach! You have a great weekend, too, my friend and thanks for your comment on L & L!
These are such precious frames and to think how all has changed.
Hari OmGolly that is some selection... the Tolstoy one sent me off in 'wikimode' as he is a favourite author of mine...a fruitful hour!!! YAM xx
the last one made me snicker. lordy!
That last picture just blows my mind!
How fun! I see Tolstoy's grandchildren are as mesmerized as the rest of us. PS I think I owned those stewardess boots!
Stewardesses have sure changed over the years. I used to fly Southwest a lot in 1971 and their outfits were still pretty skimpy then. - Margy
Very interesting pictures!
I was trying to see the photo of the Southwest stewardesses, but my glasses were steamed up. Can you re-post it bigger?
Those child laborers smoke like old men! So sad.The stewardesses....I thought they were cheerleaders!
I like them all but the construction of "Miss Liberty" is amazing!
Thanks for sharing I love old photos like these! On a side note I'm pretty sure the bottom photo is from the late 1960's or early 70's.
I do so appreciate and enjoy your comments! Always wonderful to get feedback! The interaction with other bloggers has been one of the most rewarding things about blogging! Thank you!
