Our World!!

Welcome to Our World!!! Now that I’m an “old broad” and don’t have to return to a classroom anymore and live in a part of my world that seems to love the colorful beauty of Autumn. I do look forward to this colorful time of year particularly here in the northwest US!! And it’s already beginning to put in a timid approach after the long, hot summer!! But I looked back today and got so excited realizing that it won’t be long before I can see sights like this every day!!
I hope you enjoy!! Have a great week!!

Autumn burned brightly, a running flame through the mountains, a torch flung to the trees.
Faith Baldwin

Youth is like spring, an over praised season more remarkable for biting winds than genial breezes. Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits.
Samuel Butler

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.
Elizabeth Lawrence
Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
Albert Camus

  8. Your autumn starts brilliantly. Here it is still summer.it's all very green, but we have had a terrible thunderstorm several buildings were hit by lightning. last night and burnt down. Therewas a strong wind blowing and a lot of trees were uprooted, but not in mty village fortunately.
I hope that autumn and winter will be nice to us. Thanks for your kind comment and have a wonderful week!

  10. I, too, am looking forward to the fall colours, although many leaves have dropped off already because of the overly dry weather this summer.

  14. As far as I concerned, autumn starts the first of September, no matter what they say! ;))). And this year everything has been earlier, because of how dry it is so I think your Autumn post is perfectly timed. It is a beautiful season in Portland and here too!
