Sky Watch

Welcome to Sky Watch and a chance to enjoy some of the beautiful skies around the world!!!  Lots of different kinds of skies this time of year wherever you are!!  Ours here in the Northwest have been mostly gray and rainy, but the beauty they will bring come Spring will be worth the WET!!  And, yes, I’m trying to convince myself of that at the same time I try to convince all of you!!
I do hope all of you have a wonderful weekend – regardless of the weather!!!

One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.
William Shakespeare

If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
Percy Bysshe Shelley

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

We share similar weather Sylvia - and it does seem winter is getting a firmer grip instead of looser! But spring has it's name because it can surprise us...!!! YAM xx

  3. Hi Sylvia, I love those afternoon sky shots when the sun gets low and breaks through the clouds. How are you this week? I hope all is well with you. You will not be surprised to hear that the weather forecaster says Seattle is in for the wettest December, January, and February on record! It's about 22 inches of rain over the 3 month period. One thing I've learned this winter is that with all that rain and cloudyness ... When we do get a little sun break it is all the more sweet! :-) Wishing you a fine weekend coming up soon! 6. Absolutely fabulous --both the photos and the quotes... Amazing when I am walking on the golf course looking up at a gorgeous sky, I can think about my friend in South Africa also walking on her golf course looking at the same sky...... AMAZING..

  8. Mother Nature is so important for our well-being. If only that message were accepted around the world...we could change so many of the actions which are destroying Mother Nature! Love the photos. Wishing you a wonderful Friday!

  11. I thought your first picture was going to be my favorite until I saw your last. The light on the water is beautiful. You can see the ripples in the water. So pretty, Sylvia.

  12. "If winter comes, can spring be far behind?" For stuff like that, Shelley is famous? "It is February . . . I'll bet next month will be March." Do you think I will become famous too?
