Once when the late Audrey Hepburn was asked for her beauty secrets this is what she said. I'm sure you've heard them, I know I had, but they are such wise and beautiful words, I thought that they are worth reading again.
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
Wow Sylvia--something happened to me today that makes this post especially touching. I'll post about it later this week when I get some photos to go with it.

ReplyDeleteI always loved Audrey Hepburn...she had a difficult upbringing during World War 11 with the nazi's occupation and i admired her for her grace...thank you so much for sharing her secrets of beauty....made me say to myself that's the beauty that I want to strive to have!
