After finding the vase down in the basement last week, I returned to get a favorite wine glass out of storage and decided to see how it would look in the same window. Not as vivid as the green, but a nice color shot anyway.
Mojo the Most -- wondering, 'was it a bird, a plane or super dog???'
We've about seen the last of the lush, foliage shadows, so one last look!
And soon the colors will change, the shadows won't always be as sharp and clear, but more like these reflections in this pond near the beach. The ducks don't seem to mind what season it is as long as there's something to catch! This was taken last fall. You can always click to embiggen and see the details more clearly.
This post seems very shadowy to me. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe blue shadow came out nicely. Mojo looks like he wants to jump in!
ReplyDeletefun photos, I have one with shadows I took on the Oregon beach that I'll have to post soon.
ReplyDeletelove the blue glass shot...
ReplyDeleteThe window shadow shot is awesome - I like the blue colours and the broken shadow :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice SSS!
Hi, I've come over from Authorblog. Fun read. Glad to meet you.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos and shadows.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy seeing what you will capture each week.
Great Shots!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the last of summer. At least our friends in the Southern Hemisphere will remind us that spring will come again.
ReplyDeleteSummer fades away...and the shadows aren't as crisp and defined. But are they darker somehow, I wonder.
ReplyDeleteThe wine glass shadow is beautiful and your other shots are lovely too, especially Mojo.
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful blue glass!
ReplyDeleteLovely set of photos there.I thought the blue glass was superb.
ReplyDeleteI have come over from David's! Enjoyed the Roast! Well done.
Sylvia, I read about you at Authorblog and I'm really curious about the post you mentioned (re: interracial marriage). Where can I find it?
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed your political call-to-arms from a few days ago. Keep fighting the good fight (in all things!).
Lovely variety of shadows here! Love the blue watery shadow of the wine glass!
ReplyDeleteI love your shadow shots Sylvia, especially the blue glass and the ducks.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of photos with interesting commentary, Sylvia and many congratulations on your Sunday Roast which I enjoyed very much - thank you.
ReplyDeleteI was roasted last week and I intend reading all roasts from now on - great way of getting to know people.
Best wishes and I will return soon ~ Eddie
I like the shadows on the water, but the blue shadow is nice too.
ReplyDeleteI like the blue glass shadow shot! And all the others, too, for that matter!
ReplyDeleteLovely blue shadow! Glass can give us joy when it is full and when it is empty!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the glass shadow!! beautiful Sylvia :)
ReplyDeleteglorious images!!!!
ReplyDeleteDucks are always good subjects because they hold mostly quite still, only some minor swimming, and they are not afraid to hang around people. There is plenty of time to fiddle with settings.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Sylvia! It looks to me like Mojo is looking longingly at the glass above and is wondering why he doesn't have any wine ;)
ReplyDeleteI love all the shadows! The blue glass is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery wonderful shadows, Sylvia. I always love the colored shadows.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue glass shadow, Sylvia! Yes, Autumn is on its way... :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty blue shadow. And your dogs always look so happy.
ReplyDeleteWe think it had to have been super dog by the look of Mojo! The blue shadow is nice as well- so much fun adding color to shadows!
ReplyDeleteKarla & Karrie
Lovely shadows as always ... I especially like the first with the blue glass ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Wonderful SSs--the blue glass is so serene. Love the Mojo shot too since I'm such a dog-lover. I'm loving the very early Fall colors, but am not looking forward to winter!
