You know you are too old to Trick or Treat when:
You get winded from knocking on the door.

You have to have another kid chew the candy for you.
You ask for high fiber candy only.

When someone drops a candy bar in your bag, you lose your balance and fall over.
People say: 'Great Boris Karloff Mask,' and you're not wearing a mask.

When the door opens you yell, 'Trick or...' And can't remember the rest.
By the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders.

You have to carefully choose a costume that won't dislodge your hairpiece.
You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood with a walker.

And the number one reason Seniors should not go Trick Or Treating...
You keep having to go home to pee.
No matter, have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN anyway.
Sylvia, this post about Halloween is beautiful. I like the images and the atmosphere! We will have Halloween here in Turin as well.

Very funny! Especially since it's all so true!
ReplyDeleteMy day just got brighter. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy physical birthday is actually on Halloween.
ReplyDeleteThe seniors should be out there with the kids then. These are all cool tricks, and the kids can focus on the treats.
When we realize that we are already wearing a costume, we can actually scare ourselves and jump right out of our skin.
What a fun Halloween post, love it!!
ReplyDeleteThis one is great! And they are the cutest pictures!
ReplyDeleteROFL at the Halloween flashers!!
ReplyDeleteAnd got a big kick out of the jokes, especially "Trick or..."
Thanks for the grin!
Halloween is not such a festival in the UK - we have the innocent end (little children dressed as fairies - I know!) and the nastier element - silly teenagers tipping over dustbins, posting obnoxious things through letter-boxes. We also have the Fundamentalists who think it's all the work of the devil and won't countenance the fun of it. For me, it's All Souls Night - a time to remember those who have travelled on - and why not laugh as you remember?
ReplyDeleteLoved the Senior Citizen take!!
We do not 'do' Hallowe'en, but this is a good laugh! There are no kids in the area, and I 'did' the feast at school every year. I guess I put my dues in and I'm happy not to have any candy around!!!
ReplyDeleteHow funny, especially the pumpkin flashers!
ReplyDeleteAw, you beat me to it. I had this ready to post next week, but - not to worry - I have a back up. ;-)
ReplyDeleteA fun post.
ReplyDeleteLove the flashers!
ReplyDeletelol! that was funny!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Halloween chuckles and for the beautiful photos with marvelous quotes too. I appreciate your posts so much and always enjoy visiting.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
