Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

I wish that every human life might be pure transparent freedom. ~Simone de Beauvoir

We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home. ~Edward R. Murrow

It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you. ~Author unknown, sometimes attributed to M. Grundler

We loved with a love that was more than love. ~Edgar Allan Poe

Freedom is the oxygen of the soul. ~Moshe Dayan

I but know that I love thee, whatever thou art. ~Thomas Moore

And now, more beautiful words from my dear friend in Mumbai.

Some dark,
some white,
fiery brown,
cool cream,
and every color
of this
wondrous earth;

The
staunchly united
pebbles,
enjoy the wait,
as the
water,
of the same ocean,
washes over them;
cleaning minds
and
scrubbing thoughts.

If only,
the bigger
more powerful
rocks,
listened...
