Sky Watch Friday!

As Fall moves into the Seattle area I have, over the past couple of years, noticed very subtle changes in our skies as the temperatures begin to drop and clouds gather. It's almost as though they're reluctant to leave, but at the same time, eager for a new season. These are a few that I have captured as Autumn eases in with the cooler weather.

This is the harbor where I go so frequently to take photos! Subtle changes and colors.



Don't often get vertical clouds like these.



And soft pastels, lingering from summer.



Trying to decide whether to be moody and stormy or be satisfied to be beautiful!



Pretty much decided to be moody -- after all, it's Fall, isn't it?

    always lovely to spend time watching your sky images. oh i can see the leaves turning over there, our trees are not quick to respond to autumn, i suppose.

    Lovely photos to welcome October, Sylvia! I think I like the bright sky and dark pines best, but that second one looks like a story happening! They're all beautiful.

    Sylvia, our sky looks just like the your last photo right now. My photo this week, was taken this morning. I guess that fall weather can be very changeable. Getting cool here in Maine, too. How about there?

    Such BEAUTIFULLY varied sky views as Fall approaches. We're not seeing much change yet in So Cal as the warm winds continue to blow off the desert but I'm HOPING the weatherman's predictions for drizzles next week are accurate. I'm ready for RAIN!!!!!!!
