Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.
Langston Hughes
Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the air and you.
Langston Hughes
Television is a medium of entertainment which permits millions of people to listen to the same joke at the same time, and yet remain lonesome.
T. S. Eliot
Always do what you are afraid to do.

The Formula One
streak
across the skies
as
The One In-Charge
sets up
a night here,
a day there,
a cloudy moment
for a burning day,
occasional
monsoon leaks
elsewhere,
as he hits
some dark
loaded clouds.
Energy Spent,
foot off the
world accelerator,
He relaxes,
somewhere over
Seattle,
looks down
through
the white exhaust ,
spots someone,
with a camera
and says,
"Sylvia,
well , I never ....."

Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I so believe that about fear. Great photos my friend. Spring is coming :). Have a wonderful Wednesday. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed each of your quotes as much as I enjoyed your pictures. The clouds are quite striking!

Oh, Sylvia, to have your own poet! It's all wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, overcoming fear is the way we grow, and just as there's always something to fear, we can continue to overcome, and become.
I like the Ralph Waldo Emerson quotes very much and, oh, what wonderful spring blossom!

Lovely posting today. Each quote, like always, so perfectly matched with the accompanying photo. ~ks
ReplyDeleteLove the quotes - as usual, there are one or two that 'speak' to me. There are two about fear there that do so. Also I love the post for you from Ugich Konitari - that's great!
ReplyDeleteThe one about television by T S Eliot! LOL! That's so true.
Langston Hughes - a way with words like no other.
ReplyDeleteAnd defeat by fear - so sadly true.
Great post.. I like..
ReplyDeleteA wonderful way to start the morning Sylvia - the lavender fields are amazing and the cove photo reminds me of Tamales Bay north of San Francisco where I grew up. Great quotes too!
ReplyDeleteOh the pictures are absolutely glorious as usual!
ReplyDeleteFlowers, blossoms. I want some.
