Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.

Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand.

Life would be infinitely happier if we could only be born at the age of eighty and gradually approach eighteen.

  1. Hi, Sylvia

I don't know if you listen to Morning Edition on NPR but there was an item this morning on Mark Twain's autobiography and how it finally came to him how to write it. It was really interesting. I put it on my list of things to follow up on.

The photos are beautiful. You always have such wonderful food for thought and eyes here.

    Peace and love,
    Gina

  2. The trees in the second picture reminds me of a weeping willow but I think they are to tall. The colors are wonderful.
Nice job taking that middle one.

  4. Nothing strikes my "boys" with wonder and envy like a jet leaving a long trail behind as it streaks across clear blue skies...

  7. The middle one is spectacular! And what is that weeping willow like tree that doesn't have to weep? Lovely. Tks for stopping by my 'Time' piece and, you too, have a great weekend, Sylvia.

  9. Going backwards would be fun but then so would be many other impossible things too.

  11. Ditto what your other guests have said, Sylvia! Your sunset photos are spectacular and Twain's "assault of laughter" is perfect.
